The Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN) is an international think tank comprising a network of over 200 researchers and policymakers, with National Focal Points in 36 African countries. ARIN’s goals are twofold:
With extensive experience in generating and consolidating evidence, ARIN focuses on key strategic sectors within the global research and development agenda. It serves as a unique platform for the science-policy interface in Africa, capitalizing on research evidence. It recognizes Africa’s wealth of researchers, innovation, and best policy practices, which often remain underutilized.
ARIN facilitates a peer review platform where the best research and impact practices from different African contexts are shared, profiled, and leveraged to drive transformative policy actions.
ARIN’s thematic focus is customized to address sectors identified by African countries as key development priorities, which may vary from country to country in terms of emphasis. Within these thematic areas, ARIN concentrates on:
